Planned Preventative Maintenance

The aim of the PPM schedule is to prevent the breakdown of failure of critical equipment before it occurs. It is designed to preserve and enhance reliability by replacing worn components before they wear out. An FM Reliance PPM schedule would include equipment checks, partial or complete refurbishment on plant and equipment such as:

  • Boilers servicing
  • Air handling units
  • Fire systems (complete fire package tailored to your properties assets)
  • HVAC equipment
  • Re-lamping residential and commercial properties
  • Water treatment, legionella awareness
  • Fan coil maintenance

Planned preventive maintenance is about removing surprises and maximising efficiency. Our building services specialists deliver this, making sure replacement components – from simple ring mains to complex air conditioning systems – are installed in a programmed way to minimise disruption and downtime.

There are also some legal requirements that need to be addressed when occupying a commercial property which we deliver as part of a PPM contract:

  • Fixed wire testing
  • Portable appliance testing (PAT)
  • Emergency light testing
  • Fire extinguisher testing/servicing
  • Fire alarms
  • Intruder alarms, monitoring and response
